Each of us discovered the Forest in their own way. Manfred, a Swiss microbiologist, came to the Forest led by his photographic passion and love for wildlife. When his and Katarzyna’s paths crossed, both of them fascinated by the Ancient Forest, decided to build their own world right here, at the heart of nature.

Manfred takes care of the English speaking guest.

Katarzyna, a translator of German literature (looks after German speaking guests), came to the Forest during her university studies. She explored beautiful places, met wonderful people and put down roots in the border areas of eastern Poland.

Magda, a French philologist helping our French speaking guests, contributed to this family business with her talent and passion for interior design. She fell madly in love with Podlasie and spends a lot of time here, taking care of the details that conjure the atmosphere of the place up.
