Villa Nature Lodge
Cosy and comfortable accommodation by the Bialowieza Forest, self-check-in, wi-fi
Nature Lodge is a luxurious wooden house built in the local style of Podlasie and situated in a charming village of Gruszki, at the very edge of the Bialowieza Forest and with a view of the Narewka River valley.
There are two apartments in the house: a small, 2-room apartment for 4 people and a large, 5-room apartment for 11 people, which can be rented together or separately.
The house was built on the basis of an old forester’s lodge from the nearby village of Łanczyno. Meant for deconstruction, it was saved and now the century old wooden logs visible inside create the atmosphere typical of old dwellings. The decision to make use of the old forester’s lodge influenced our choice of the size and spacing of windows on the ground floor and inspired us to make glassed porches so characteristic of Podlasie. We could not resist adding to the interior a few traditional stoves. Kitchens and bathrooms are comfortably equipped, the house is heated with a heat pump and has photovoltaics. Solutions for the house were carefully chosen according to the rules of sustainable development: oak floors are made from certified wood, walls were constructed from old logs and kitchen floors are covered with recycled roof tiles. The rooms are furnished with old furniture searched out at flea markets or made to order.
NOTE: We do not provide catering. Both apartments have well-equipped kitchens. There is also a restaurant 5 km from the Lodge.

Pets
We do not accept pets in the Villa Nature Lodge. For a stay with pets we recommend the Rousseau Mansion (apartments: At Emil’s, At Sophie’s, Loft At Jean-Jacques’s and Cultural Cottage).
Small Apartment:
Small Apartment
Comfortable, luxurious apartment (c. 80 m2), perfect for a family with two children or for a group of friends. There are 2 rooms (living room included) with a balcony.
The apartment includes:
Ground floor (c. 55 m2):
- kitchen open to the living room with a big table, with a complete set of modern equipment (induction cooker with an oven, fridge, espresso machine, pots and pans, tableware, cutlery)
- traditional regional bread oven, suitable for making pizza, bread and other specialties
- living room with a fireplace
- terrace with a barbeque in front of the entrance
- generally available toilet
- one entrance porch and another one (accessible only from the inside) serving as a glassed veranda great for relaxation on colder days
Loft:
- two rooms for 2 people (about 11 and 10 m2), one with two beds (90×200) with the possibility of putting them together, the other one with a double bed (160×200)
- shared bathroom
- big balcony with armchairs, available from both rooms

Large Apartment:
Large Apartment
Big, cosy and luxurious apartment (about 180 m2), dream place for big families or groups of friends who like to spend time together while keeping their own personal comfort. There are 5 rooms with a living room and a terrace.
Perfect for those who appreciate comfort but would also like to enjoy the vicinity of wild nature of the Bialowieza Forest.
The apartment consists of:
Ground floor – shared space (c. 70 m2) with:
- big open kitchen, fully equipped with modern facilities (inductive cooker with an oven, fridge, espresso machine, pots and pans, tableware and cutlery)
- traditional regional stove for baking bread (also suitable for making pizza and other specialties)
- double room (22 m2) adjusted to needs of a person on a wheelchair, with a convenient bathroom (walk-in shower with the base on the floor level, with no walls and with grab rails; the toilet bowl and washbasin adapted to a wheelchair). This room can also be used as a family room: apart from two beds put together, there is also a comfortable sofa/bed (90×200)
- dining room with a table for 11 people
- living room with a fireplace, projector, screen and music equipment
- generally available toilet
- big terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue
- bonfire area
Loft:
- four double rooms (c. 15 m2) with bathrooms, each with two beds (90×200) joined together into one, with the possibility of being put apart, two rooms with small balconies overlooking the back garden and the neighbouring plots, two – with the view of the Narewka River valley
- 4 bathrooms

How to get:
- by train or bus from Warsaw to Hajnówka with the possibility of being picked up at the station in Hajnówka
- by car – parking space for free on the premises
Our area
- On the one side the Lodge neighbours with holiday houses, little village of Gruszki in the distance, the headquarters of the Browsk forest district (with herbarium and public playground)
- We have foxes and roe deer among our garden visitors. In the meadows by the river you can watch cranes, wild geese when migrating. One of our first guests was a hoopoe
- Right next to us there is the Green Velo trail as well as many forest trails suitable for both walking and cycling
- Meadows by the Narewka River invite you to have a walk and take a close look at nature
- The village of Narewka in the distance of about 5 km. You will find there a few shops, a restaurant, bar, river beach, art gallery, Jewish cemetery and an old orthodox church
