Rousseau Mansion. A 100-year-old forester’s lodge in the Bialowieza Forest

Rousseau Mantion is more than a hundred-year-old carefully renovated wooden forester’s lodge in a small village of Świnoroje at the edge of the Bialowieza Forest. It stands on a big plot (4200m2) with two more picturesque houses and a barn.
In the mansion there are two apartments on the ground floor, each of them with a separate entrance: At Emil’s (4-6 people) and At Sophie’s (2-4 people). Upstairs there is a spacious, 7 metres high loft At Jean-Jacques’s with four bedrooms, shared kitchen and dining room and space for relaxation on two entresols.
Cultural Cottage (4 people) is an old, wooden house relocated here from another small village in Podlasie. The other building, with sauna downstairs, offers a small loft – Mansard (2 people).
NOTE: We do not provide catering, all apartments have well-equipped kitchens and there is also a restaurant c. 700 metres from the Mansion.

The loft is 180 m2 big and suitable for 8 people. It is located on the upper floor of the Rousseau mansion and in the past used to serve as company flats and a smoking chamber.
It includes:
- 4 bedrooms (each of them with 2 single beds)
- 4 bathrooms
- 1 living-room combined with the kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped.
- 2 entresols – one serves as a library, the second one can be used by children as a perfect place to play.

- 1 well-equipped kitchen with a stove
- 1 huge bathroom, in fact also a kind of a room with a stove (shower, basin, toilet, washing machine)

- by train or bus from Warsaw to Hajnówka with the possibility of being picked up at the station in Hajnówka
- by car – parking space for free on the premises
Our area
- Rousseau Mansion is located literally at the edge of the Forest. Surrounded by trees, it gives you an impression of diving into the woods
- Our neighbours are bats and owls. We are also visited by foxes, bisons and wild boars
- The nearest houses are at the distance of about 150 metres
- Tourist trails suitable for walking or cycling start nearby. They will lead you to the Bialowieza and Ladzka Forests, also partly across some nature reserves
- Old oaks grow on both sides of the house
- A restaurant is only 700 metres away
- The village of Narewka with shops, a little river beach, an art gallery, an old Jewish cemetery and an orthodox church is only 1,5 km away
